奖学金项目描述

The Graduate School Language & Literature – Class of Language at LMU Munich offers a PhD scholarship for International doctoral candidates. The scholarship is part of the Graduate School Scholarship Programme (GSSP) provided by the DAAD. It has a duration of a maximum of four years and will begin in autumn of this year. Applicants must not have resided in Germany for more than 15 months prior to the nomination.

A doctoral place within the Class of Language provides a research-oriented and systematically structured interdisciplinary syllabus, an individual and intensive advisory support for doctoral candidates and a variety of opportunities for exchanges among doctoral candidates, professors and international visiting scholars. Furthermore, there is the opportunity to jointly organize international conferences with other doctoral candidates.

包括但不限于Applied Linguistics; General Linguistics; Historical Linguistics; Morphology; Syntax; Phonetics

相关要求

• University degree graded above average (Magister Artium, diploma, Master of Arts “with thesis” etc. in a linguistic field). The grade of final thesis must not fall below a 2,50. The same requirement applys to the overall grade (verification needed).

• German and English language skills (if necessary, the DAAD may include a preparatory German language course).

• At the time when DAAD receives the nomination letter, the last final exam (Master Degree or equivalent) must have taken place no longer than six years ago.

• At the time when DAAD receives the nomination letter, applicants must not have resided in Germany for more than 15 months prior to the nomination.

• a motivational essay of a maximum of two A4 pages

• your curriculum vitae

• a copy of your diplomas and transcripts and thesis (or a abstract within 2 to 3 pages)

• a research proposal of up to 35,000 words

• two references
